AFRCT is pleased to announce that Robert C. Little and Michael Rapkine have been elevated to partners of the Firm effective January 2, 2017.

Appellate

Robert C. Little is Chair of AFRCT’s Appellate Department. He handles a wide range of appeals, litigation, and corporate matters. Robert is a seasoned appellate attorney who has served as counsel of record in more than 100 state and federal appeals and writ proceedings. He has successfully concluded a wide range of appeals involving banking, business disputes, real estate, probate, and government agencies. Robert is certified by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization as a legal specialist in the practice of appellate law, one of less than 300 attorneys who currently hold this distinction among California’s nearly 200,000 practicing lawyers. Robert also assists other attorneys and law firms with their appeals, and is retained by trial counsel to consult at all stages of litigation in cases that are likely candidates for appellate review.

Litigation

Michael Rapkine is a member of AFRCT’s Litigation Department . His practice focuses on a broad range of state and federal litigation with an emphasis on business torts, lender liability cases, equitable subrogation matters, and general contract disputes. For the past several years, Michael’s practice has heavily involved the defense of large banking institutions in lawsuits brought under California’s Homeowner Bill of Rights.
