John Anglin is a founding partner of Anglin Flewelling Rasmussen Campbell & Trytten, LLP. John is primarily a transactional lawyer, and his practice is concentrated in the real estate and corporate area.
John graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Southern California in 1969 with a Bachelor's degree in economics. He obtained his law degree from the University of Southern California Law School in 1972. John was a partner of Walker Wright Tyler & Ward, LLP, Los Angeles, California from 1978-2002 (managing partner 1994-2000).
John has extensive experience in real estate acquisitions, financing, development, commercial leasing, and real estate brokerage, and in the formation, financing, and operation of business entities, business acquisitions, and corporate governance. He is rated AV (highest rating) by Martindale-Hubbell, the national directory of attorneys.
John is a member of the Real Estate and Business Law sections of the American, California and Los Angeles County Bar Associations. He has served as a director of substantial public and private companies and as corporate secretary of several publicly-held corporations. He serves as outside general counsel to a number of companies and non-profit organizations, from small to significant.
Recent corporate transactions of note include the sale of a well-known regional industrial real estate brokerage, a $25 million purchase of a food manufacturer in the Pacific Northwest and a $45 million purchase of a food manufacturing division of a Fortune 50 company. Recent real estate transactions include a multi-property resort, golf course and residential development, ground leasing of land for multi-family/single-family residential developments, and a number of retail, industrial, and office leases for landlords and tenants.
