Robin Campbell graduated from the Columbia University School of Law in 1976, after completing undergraduate work at the University of California, Riverside (where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa with highest honors) and Goettingen University in Germany. He has since practiced law in California for more than twenty-five years, primarily with the downtown Los Angeles law firm of Walker, Wright, Tyler & Ward, concentrating in the area of business litigation.
Robin has tried cases to judgment concerning real estate issues, business torts (such as civil fraud, trade secret misappropriation, unfair competition, and interference with contract), bankruptcy and various other commercial disputes.
Robin's practice also emphasizes employment law, including employment contract disputes, wrongful discharge litigation, and harassment and discrimination claims. He has successfully defended several wrongful termination actions brought against clients of the firm.
Robin has extensive experience before the California appellate courts, both state and federal. He served as lead counsel on appeal in the following reported cases: Western Security Bank, N.A. v. Superior Court (Beverly Hills Business Bank), 15 Cal.4th 232 (1997); Sebastian International, Inc. v. Lori Sarnella, U.S. App. LEXIS 9827 (9th Cir. 1993); and In Re Comark, 145 Bankruptcy Reporter 47 (9th Cir. B.A.P. 1992).
Since law school, Robin has made his home in Pasadena, where he is active in civic and community affairs. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Convalescent Aid Society of Pasadena and the Pasadena First Baptist Church Foundation. Robin is a winter sports enthusiast, with a special passion for downhill skiing, and enjoys the practice of yoga off the slopes.
