Robert J. Witt is a native of Chicago, Illinois, and has been practicing law in California for approximately 36 years. He majored in accounting at DePaul University and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce. He obtained his law degree from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1965. He has a Master's Degree in Public Administration from the University of Southern California.
Bob is of counsel with the Firm, and his practice is presently concentrated in the areas of estate planning, probate, trust administration and estate taxation. He also has experience in real estate development, commercial law, construction law and business litigation. He is a member of the Trusts and Estates Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
Bob served in the Army as a commissioned officer from 1965 to 1967. He was an elected City Councilman from 1970-1978 in the City of Cerritos, California, and was the mayor of Cerritos in 1970-71 and 1977-78.
Bob and his wife Joanne have two adult children and have lived in Cerritos, California since 1968.
