David Newman is an associate in AFRCT’s litigation department.  David’s practice covers a broad range of state and federal litigation with an emphasis on complex commercial litigation and lender liability matters. Prior to joining AFRCT, David practiced law at Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP in Los Angeles.

David graduated cum laude from Duke University in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, although his unofficial major was Duke basketball.  He earned his law degree from USC Law School in 2006, where he served on the Southern California Law Review.

David is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the Pasadena Bar Association.  He is admitted to practice in all California state courts, as well as the United States District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, Central, and Southern Districts of California.

David enjoys playing golf and tennis, reading spy novels, winning poker games, and watching Duke beat North Carolina.
