Practice Areas

Dennis is a partner practicing in AFRCT’s litigation department and regularly represents a wide array of clients, both public and private, in diverse areas including intellectual property, entertainment, timeshare, and banking/lender liability disputes. He specializes in all phases of litigation in California federal and state court including trial, and has substantial experience in pre-judgment remedies including obtaining and opposing injunctions, writs of attachment, and appointment of receiverships. Dennis has tried numerous bench and jury trials to verdict.

Dennis is an “east coast transplant” from New York. He received his Bachelors of Arts degree in political science and music from the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to his legal career, Dennis was an Information Technology Consultant with Deloitte Consulting and provided IT services to financial firms and insurance companies. Dennis subsequently received his Juris Doctor from Fordham Law University. He is a member of the New York bar, and is admitted to practice law in all California Courts, and the United States District Court, Central, Eastern, Northern and Southern Districts of California.

Dennis’ representations include: negotiating music sync/master licenses, royalty agreements, and other artist contracts on behalf of entertainment clients; serving as lead counsel in copyright infringement matters and revenue-sharing disputes across social media websites such as youtube.com; successfully obtaining an injunction freezing $1.9 million of investment funds for a motion picture on behalf of plaintiff/director pending litigation in Los Angeles County Superior Court (Dark Hall Productions, LLC v. Sun Jee Yoo, et al.); defending proposed client trademarks against the National Football League based on similar color schematics of the New Orleans Saints; defending against copyright and trademark infringement claims concerning internet commerce of telecommunication products in United States District Court (Sysmaster Corporation v. Call Termination, et al.); prior to AFRCT, handling the litigation of a small business credit portfolio for JPMorgan Chase, N.A. and regularly obtaining interim orders appointing receivers for Cathay Bank and Rabobank, N.A. to protect collateral during loan default; representing local Korean businesses in the Los Angeles community including Samho Tour, Inc. and Todai Restaurant, LLC. Dennis is conversant in Korean.

Outside of the office, Dennis enjoys spending time with his family and dogs, and enjoys sports, music, and studying history.
