Lynette Gridiron Winston is of counsel with AFRCT’s litigation department.

Lynette received her Juris Doctor in 1990 from USC Law Center, graduating in the top quarter of her class. While at USC, she was invited to the Computer Law and Major Tax Planning Journal, participated in the Honors Moot Court program, and worked with the administration in minority recruiting. Lynette was also the sub-regional director of the Black Law Students Association.

She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California in 1987. Lynette was admitted to the California Bar in December 1990. She is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court of California (all districts) and the United States Court of Appeal for the Ninth Circuit. Lynette is a member of the American Bar Association (ABA) Litigation Committee and the Black Women Lawyers of Los Angeles.

Lynette is a Golden Life member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She is a member of the Board of Directors of Faith Community Development Corporation and an advisor to the Board of Faith Center Ministries. Lynette also served on the Steering Committee and Board of Directors for the Hale Morris Lewis Manor.

She is very active in her local church and community and has received numerous awards of recognition for her service to various organizations focusing on educating and empowering youth and underprivileged communities.

In her spare time, Lynette enjoys fishing, writing poetry, ministering to the needs of others, traveling, and spending time with her family.

  • Her practice focuses on a broad range of state and federal litigation with an emphasis on complex commercial litigation and lender liability matters;

  • She has advised and represented individual and corporate clients in all phases of civil litigation, including pre-trial, alternative dispute resolution, discovery, trial, post-trial, and appeals;

  • Prior to joining AFRCT, Lynette was a general business and commercial litigation associate with Paul, Hastings, Janofsky, & Walker in Los Angeles, where she worked on a variety of business litigation matters involving complex contract disputes, fraud, business torts, unfair competition, and intellectual property.
